With breathtaking views of the Catskill Mountain range, on a 182 acre farm, in Hudson, NY, sits Klocke Estate. The Distillery and restaurant features a bespoke design with state-of-the-art systems to create one of the most unique destinations in the Hudson Valley. Thoughtfully designed by BarlisWedlick Architects, the project includes 1,700 square feet of restaurant and hospitality space over two floors, a 9,300 square foot still bay with custom European still equipment and a 1,400 square foot utility building handles the project's mechanical needs, including the dispersion of residual heat from the distilling process to the sidewalks for snowmelt. Passive House principles such as triple pane windows, optimized insulation and air-tight detailing were incorporated into the design.

World-renowned designer Ken Fulk was tapped for the Interiors, specifying custom glass, metal work, wood, and stone installations. Referencing decorative traditions of the mid-19th century, hand-finished wallcoverings and the subdued color palette speak to the region's rich history of Dutch settlement. The landscape designed by Wagner Hodgson serves as an extension of the built structures and interior experiences. Outdoor areas are designed with large, purposeful gestures, drawing inspiration from the unique topography and agricultural heritage of the Hudson Valley while maintaining an aesthetic of refined simplicity.
